The Edit Tools window is a floating tool window that includes tools and
controls for adding and manipulating input-output fields, text
constants as well as extended non-field-related GUI gadgets.
The Fields Properties tool window, shown in the screenshot below,
includes all standard BMS definitions, plus the ability to enhance
fields by displaying them as Combo Boxes, Push Buttons, Radio Buttons
or Check Boxes. Complete context sensitive help features also allow

the Fields Properties window, however only 'constant', output text only
fields are configured with the Text window.
The Text Properties window, shown in the screenshot below, also
provides the ability to configure text to be displayed only in

Also provided in the Eden Screen Editor is the ability to add non-field
related gadgets to BMS maps. Through using the Extended Properties
window, shown in the screenshot below, BMS maps can be enhanced to
include Push Button, HTML links, Group Boxes and in version 3.1
(December 2002) Bitmaps.
By allowing the Extended intems added to be non-field related, many
screens can be enhanced to provide greatly improved user interfaces,
all without changes to the underlying BMS maps or CICS application
programs that drive them.
